i am horrified
oh dear i have not been replying again! and have not been updating as well. all of you must be wondering what’s going on here. i’ll try to summarise everything before my laptop dies.
when we first came:
-bought a car
-bought furniture from Ikea (they pronounce it ‘ay-kia’ instead of ‘ee-kia’)
-slept in sleeping bags (the funny part)
-fixed furniture up (except for sis’ and bro’s bunk bed, which was set up by the maintenance guy who has a contract with the property people)
-waited for shipment (which was supposed to come in early Feb but came almost end of Feb)
i think about how we were when we first came, with nothing in our hands or the house. and now i look around and i realise we have a lot. we are fortunate people, aren’t we? setting up the house in a few weeks and all.
to answer huimin’s question (sorry i took so long to answer it), yes, i will continue to have piano lessons. because the school offers music lessons, sis and i will be taking it up in term 2.
oh yes, which reminds me, the music performance thing was totally retarded. after everyone performed Ms Turner asked how many times we had performed. i was the only one who had not performed in front of an audience (examiners, sadly, were not counted). and i was the only one who played a last-minute thing and managed–sort of–to get away with it. hahhaha. now that’s hilarious. anita s. played electric guitar, haley played the piano, christy played the marimba, joey played the piano and sang (her own composition!), nasa played the trombone, anita v. played the cello, ai ru played the violin. i am horrified because they sounded good. /: there’s this thing about our class: we’re all Asians, as far as i can tell.
another thing regarding music: DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE SYF RESULTS! really, it’s only a grade. it does not necessarily mean that the band’s standard IS silver. and i suppose, like everyone says, it’s the effort that counts more, eh? (: if you did your best, well done! music, i feel, after all, is challenging.
heehee, we’re having holidays now. two weeks! absolutely marvellous. last weekend we went to Birchip and this weekend we’ll be going to Sydney! 9 hours drive. my mum’s colleague actually suggested we start driving at 5. that’s nuts.
by the way, it’s autumn now. started around March? and daylight saving ended on Sunday morning 2 am. or something. so now the time falls an hour back, which means (technically) that we are now 2 hours ahead only, not 3. if you don’t get it, it’s okay cos i’ll try to explain next time. laptop’s dying! see you all soon!
LASTLY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DARLING EMILY! (: ENJOY YOURSELF!
have lots of fun travelling yea?
hahahz happy sitting in the car for 9hours and have a red backside!
